What kias are awd, First, let’s review some of the differences between AWD and 4WD before taking a look at the Kia vehicles that offer power to all four wheels. You might be wondering if one type of drivetrain system is better than the other.

When considering AWD versus 4WD, there are multiple factors to consider. Ultimately, your choice depends on what you’re looking for in a vehicle, and what type of driving you do.

What kias are awd, All-wheel drive employs a front, rear and center differential to adjust engine torque to the wheels automatically. With AWD, there’s no need to manually switch modes from 2WD to power to all four wheels, as the advanced drivetrain system detects when wheel slippage may occur, and adjusts torque across the four wheels accordingly.

Many AWD systems start with front-wheel drive by default to maximize fuel efficiency, then send power to the rear wheels during cornering and when potential slippage is detected.
