Kia Sedona 2008 Service Repair Manual

These repair manuals covers the operation and repair of a Kia Sedona vehicle. The book describes the repair of cars with gasoline and diesel engines of 2.7, 3.5, 3.8, 2.2D and 2.9D liters.

The premiere of the first full-size mini-van Kia Sedona was held at the Geneva Motor Show in 1998. The car, built on the Ford Windstar platform, was in many ways close to the American models of this class: large headlights, double sliding side doors, a massive bumper, a spacious lounge with a high ceiling, a flat floor and a wide aisle between the seats, which you can move for convenience of passengers or push apart for the transport of bulky cargo.

In some countries, the model was sold under the name Sedona. The car enjoyed deserved popularity, and its appearance was updated several times, as a result of which the shape of the radiator grille, headlights and bumpers changed.

In 2006, the premiere of the second generation model Kia Sedona (factory index – VQ). The new full-size MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle, or “multi-purpose vehicle”, as Europe means mini-vans), built on the Kia Magentis platform, was developed specifically for the European market and is offered in two wheelbase options: short (SWB) and long (LWB ).

The latest version is sometimes found under the name Grand Carnival in American style. A little later, for the North American market, the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group created the Hyundai Entourage, which is structurally identical to the long-wheelbase Kia Sedona models.

Kia Sedona manuals

The Kia Sedona may not be the first name you think of when shopping for a new or used minivan. The original Sedona had almost everything needed to be a success in the minivan segment, but it was pudgy, weighing some 400-700 pounds more than its rivals, which blunted acceleration at higher speeds and didn’t do much for cornering ability. Still, overall performance was relatively refined, if not exciting.

Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s premier urban playgrounds, Kia Motors America (KMA) took the wraps off the all-new 2015 Sedona midsize multi-purpose vehicle in New York City. As the final chapter in Kia’s design-led transformation story — which began in 2009 and has seen a comprehensive makeover of Kia’s entire model line under the direction of chief design officer Peter Schreyer — the all-new Sedona’s CUV-like styling and proportions offer all of the functional convenience of the segment while defying its design limitations.

Safety features of your vehicle
When you fold the rear (2nd and/or
3rd row) seatback, insert the buckle
in the pocket between the rear seat-
back and cushion. Doing so can pre-
vent the buckle from being damaged
by the rear seatback.
When returning the rear (2nd and/or
3rd row) seatbacks to the upright
position, remember to return the rear
shoulder belts to their proper posi-
tion. Routing the seat belt webbing
through the rear seat belt guides will
help keep the belts from being
trapped behind or under the seats.
Make sure the engine is off, the
automatic transaxle is in P (Park)
and the parking brake is securely
applied whenever loading or unload-
ing cargo. Failure to take these steps
may allow the vehicle to move if the
shift lever is inadvertently moved to
another position.
WARNING- Cargo
Do not place heavy objects in
the rear seats, since they can-
not be properly secured and
may hit vehicle occupants in a
frontal collision.

WARNING — 3rd row seat
3rd row occupants should always
remain in the center of the seat
cushion so the occupants head
is protected by the headrest.
If not, the liftgate may hit the
occupant’s head, which could
cause injury.

Headrest (for rear seat)
The rear seat(s) is equipped with
headrests in all the seating positions
for the occupant’s safety and comfort.
The headrest not only provides com-
fort for passengers, but also helps
protect the head and neck in the
event of a collision. For maximum effectiveness in case
of an accident, the headrest should
be adjusted so the middle of the
headrest is at the same height as the
center of gravity of an occupant’s
head.
Generally, the center of gravity of
most people’s head is similar with
the height of the top of their eyes.
Also adjust the headrest as close to
your head as possible. For this rea-
son, the use of a cushion that holds
the body away from the seatback is
not recommended.
WARNING- Seatback
pockets
Do not put heavy or sharp
